  • A - Arc de Triomf

    Not to be confused with Arc de Triomphe in Paris, Barcelona has one of its own. This wide arch was built in 1888 as the main access gate to the Universal exhibition. The distinctive red brickwork has Moorish origins and the peak of the arch is adorned with Barcelona's coat of arms.

    This aquarium provides both an educational and enjoyable day out for the entire family. Marine creatures of all shapes and sizes await you here along with interactive displays.
  • C - Barri Gotic

    Through the narrow streets of Barcelona's gothic area you can expect to find antique stores, quirky bookshops and small curiosity shops selling everything from authentic espadrilles to pottery from every region in Spain.
  • D - Casa Mila or La Pedrera

    Designed by Gaudi, this unconventional building which was built in 1912 is a building set apart from any other in Barcelona due to its unusual style. Also known as La Pedrera, the apartment facade undulates like a series of waves; the entire building is designed without a single straight line. Exhibitions are available inside the building on the first floor.
  • E - FC Barcelona Nou Camp Museum

    As one of the world's most famous and successful clubs FC Barcelona enjoys support from around the globe. Their home pitch the Nou Camp is one of the most recognizable stadiums on the planet, with a capacity of over 98,000. The museum at the Nou Camp receives over one million visitors a year.
  • F - La Boqueria Market

    With a wide variety of produce this is probably Barcelona's best known market. You can expect to see all kinds of food from fruit to fish and meat to sweets. Souvenirs are commonplace at this market which is a true Barcelona experience.
  • G - Las Ramblas

    Barcelona's famous Las Ramblas is the ideal location to find souvenirs of the city. It is also a good spot to enjoy a coffee and watch the mimes in action on this street.
  • H - Las Ramblas

    Barcelona's famous Las Ramblas is home to street performers, market traders, coffee shops and boutiques. In summer it gets rather crowded so beware of pickpockets; nonetheless it is the best place to experience the pulse of Barcelona life.
  • I - Maremagnum

    One of Barcelona's more modern shopping malls, the Maremagnum is where you will find chain stores such as H&M and Jack & Jones nestled alongside some established Spanish stores.
  • J - Palau Musica Catalana (Palace of Catalan Music)

    This concert hall was built from 1905 to 1908 and was designed by Montaner. Restoration took place in the 1980s and the building was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. It is one of Barcelona's most iconic buildings and welcomes over 500,000 visitors a year.
  • K - Park Guell

    This beautiful landscaped Barcelona garden is awash with architectural delights built in the early 1900s. The standout feature in the park is the ceramic Serpentine Bench with its snake-like shape and is considered one of the longest benches in the world. The park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudi".
  • L - Passeig de Gracia

    This street is one of Barcelona's most prominent shopping streets offering a long list of designer boutiques such as Gucci, Armani and Cartier.
  • M - Picasso Museum

    Barcelona is home to one of the most extensive collections of work by Pablo Picasso. These are shown here in chronological order and feature many of his most famous works including The First Communion.
  • N - Santa Esglesia Catedral Basilica de Barcelona

    In the heart of Barcelona's gothic district stands this gothic cathedral. The building is 93 meters long and 45 meters wide. Saint Eulalia's body is entombed within the crypt. The spire of the church reaches 230 ft and there is a lift within the cathedral which brings guests to the roof.
  • O - Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia

    This vast Catholic church had its first stone turned in 1882 and construction continues on it to the present day. Designed by Antoni Gaudi it is not just one of Barcelona's most visited sites but in fact one of the most viewed attractions in Spain.
