  • A - Castello Sforzesco (Sforza Castle)

    This 14th century castle is an iconic symbol of Milan. The castle has been demolished and restored over the years but little of its charm has been diminished. Presently the castle is home to some of Milan's finer galleries and museums including the Museum of Ancient Art and Archaeological Museum.
  • B - Colonne di San Lorenzo

    The Colonne di San Lorenzo is a site of Roman ruins within Milan. It is situated in front of San Lorenzo Basilica and the 16 columns which are lined in a row have been located here since the fourth century. These columns once stood as part of a temple or perhaps a public bath and date back to the second century.
  • C - Corso Buenos Aries

    Corso Buenos Aires lays claim to being Milan's largest shopping district. There are over 300 shops and cafes here offering a variety of shopping opportunities. Fashion, design and arts & craft are featured along with the best of Milan's specialty shops.
  • D - Duomo di Milan (Milan Cathedral)

    Building began on Milan's renowned cathedral in the 14th century. The church is a work of Gothic splendor and is one of the largest churches in the world. Over 3000 statues are on display here along with many spires and the facade is a breathtaking site worthy of any city.
  • E - Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

    This popular Milan mall is named after the first King of (united) Italy and its impressive arched entrance certainly offers a regal theme. As this is a glass- covered mall there is no need to worry about the weather and like most shopping streets and malls in Milan it houses some of the planet's leading designers such as Gucci but also gift shops for that Milan souvenir!
  • F - Leonardo Da Vinci Science and Technology Museum

    Boasting over 10,000 items this Milan museum is a favorite attraction for adults and children alike. Amongst the many splendors on display include reconstructions of Da Vinci's designs and ideas, war machines and 18 interactive laboratories.
  • G - Milan Markets

    The markets in Milan form an integral part of shopping particularly on the weekends. There is a variety of markets in the city including a Farmers Market which offers the very best in fresh produce. Another market worth visiting is Mercato di Viale Papiniano which is Milan's largest market; it takes place every Tuesday and Saturday and is where you will see an enormous variety of clothing, shoes and the odd bits of bric-a-brac.
  • H - Museo Poldi Pezzoli

    This museum was founded in the 19th century as Poldi Pezzoli's private museum. It now houses a wide range of art collections with particular focus on Italian art and European art. Artists on display here include Michelangelo, Raphael and Botticelli. This museum is one of Milan's cultural joys.
  • I - Pinacoteca di Brera

    As home to pieces of art such as Raphael's Marriage of the Virgin and renowned pieces of Italian art by the likes of Caravaggio, the Brera Art Gallery is home to one of the finest collections of art within Milan. There is a bookshop and restaurant here and audio-guides are available as well as group-guided tours.
  • J - Santa Maria delle Grazie

    Saint Mary of the Graces is a classical Milan church and adjoining convent is home to Leonardo da Vinci's sublime Last Supper. This 15th century mural depicts the scene at the Last Supper as Jesus announces that an apostle would betray him. The painting was completed in 1498 and people across the globe travel to Milan to see this masterpiece. This is an essential visit for all travelling to Rome.
  • K - Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (The San Siro)

    Undoubtedly one of the finest soccer stadiums in the world, the San Siro is home to both of Milan's renowned soccer clubs, AC Milan and Inter Milan. If your trip does not coincide with a game at this 82,000 capacity stadium then the next best thing is to visit the museum within the stadium's famed walls. The tour features memorabilia and history relating to both AC Milan and Inter Milan with a main feature being 24 real-size statues of the greatest players to have ever worn the shirt of these two Milan clubs.
  • L - Teatro alla Scala (La Scala)

    Famed throughout the world as one of the finest opera houses on the planet, Milan's La Scala is an essential visit for lovers of all music not just opera. La Scala opened in 1778 and the most recent renovation took place from 2002 to 2004. The La Scala Museum showcases the history of the famous opera house as well as featuring instruments and portraits dedicated to icons such as Verdi, amongst others.

    Italian favorites and fine designer shops parade this Milan shopping area. Designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and Prada provide refined classy elegance.   • N - Via Montenapoleone

    The main shopping street within Milan's famous shopping district, and one of the most famous shopping streets in the world you will find the world's most famous designers located here. Chic boutiques, luxurious elegance and fine jewelery are the order of the day as you will find stores by the likes of Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Versace.
